What is Kindergarten Readiness?
As a homeschool mom, elementary teacher and early literary specialist, I assure you, the foundation you lay in the early years, will serve your child lifelong. In our – our being SV College Prep’s – Early Literacy worksheet edition, we’re bringing you dozens (hopefully 100s!) of free resources to help you engage your child academically from an early age. This free number tracing worksheets packet is part of that.
In popular media, this is also called ‘Kindergarten Readiness’. Know that ‘Kindergarten Readiness’ is more than being able to trace letters and numbers, or recognize shapes and repeat patterns. It’s also about being an avid reader, social-emotional cognition, problem-solving, curiosity, inquisitive and a growing vocab.
I’m not going to discount the importance of worksheets, but there is something to be said for play-based learning. Make sure to use a healthy-combination of both!

Why we love these worksheets!
As a homeschool mom and education consultant, I truly believe that there is a lot of value to be derived from moving beyond simply tracing letters, words and numbers. That’s why, in these sheets, we’ve mixed up tracing with number hunts and coloring activities.
Handy tip:
Print and slip into plastic jackets (or laminate) so that you can use and reuse
